Good Records started as a running joke about whether a label could survive on a single artist, then Plants Patrol showed up and made it a defensible position. Their particular brand of techno-emo—the kind that sounds like a drum machine having an existential crisis in a greenhouse—somehow works, which says more about the state of music in 2024 than it probably should. We're still figuring out what we're doing here, but the plants are thriving and so is the band, so we're calling it a win.
