Terms of Service

1. Everything here is made up

The bands, labels, albums, news, and rumors on Best Band Never are fictionaland created by users. Nothing on the site is a statement of fact about any real person, band, or company. Don’t treat it as one, and don’t use it to claim otherwise.

2. Your account

You need an account to create or interact with content. You’re responsible for what happens under your account, and you must be at least 13 years old to use BBN. Keep your login details to yourself.

3. You keep your bands

You own the original things you create here — band names, backstories, album titles, written reviews, the art you upload, and so on. We don’t take that ownership from you.

By posting it, you give us permission to show your content on the site so the game works, and to use it to promote Best Band Never itself — on our own pages, on social media, and in advertising and press (for example, a screenshot of a great band someone invented). When we do, we’ll frame it honestly as a band from BBN’s roster of fictional bands.

Don’t want yours featured in our promotion? Email support@bestbandnever.com and we’ll pull it from active promotion.

When you use the game’s AI-assist features to help draft band details, you still own what you post — but AI-generated text may not be fully original, and we can’t guarantee it doesn’t resemble other generated content. We’re not responsible for infringement claims arising from AI-generated content you publish.

4. Play fair (acceptable use)

Keep it fictional and keep it civil. Don’t:

• impersonate a real person or pass your content off as real fact, especially in News or rumors about a band;
• post content that’s defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, or illegal;
• infringe someone else’s copyright, trademark, or other rights;
• spam, scrape, attack, or otherwise abuse the site or other players.

Rumors and News are a deliberate part of the game, but they’re still fiction about fictional bands — not a license to target real people.

5. Hype (in-game currency)

Hype is an in-game currency you earn through engagement (writing reviews, voting in battles, posting rumors, and so on) and spend on in-game features like Boosting a band into the Spotlight or running a Cover Story. Hype has no real-world monetary value. It can’t be withdrawn, exchanged for cash, or transferred outside BBN. Hype balances and the features you can spend it on may change as the game evolves, and we don’t guarantee any particular Hype feature will remain available.

6. Moderation & takedowns

We can remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms, at our discretion. Any signed-in user can report content for review.

If something you created is being used in our promotion and you want it pulled, or you believe content infringes your rights, email support@bestbandnever.com and we’ll acknowledge it within 5 business days and work to resolve it promptly.

If your account is terminated — by you or by us — your public content (band pages, albums) may remain visible on the site in anonymized form unless you request deletion under our Privacy Policy. We’ll delete your personal account data in line with that policy.

7. The legal necessities

BBN is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent allowed by law, iF Ventures LLC isn’t liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the past twelve months. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from content you post or your misuse of the site. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts sitting in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
