1. What we collect

• Account info — your email address and the display name and label you choose.
• What you create — bands, albums, reviews, News, rumors, and any art you upload.
• Usage data — pages you view and actions you take, which we record as analytics events to understand how the game is used.
• How you got here — if you arrive from a link with campaign tags or from another site, we store that referral source so we can understand which channels work.

2. Why we use it

To run the game and your account, to send you email you’d expect (a welcome note, weekly label reports, and alerts about your bands), to understand and improve how BBN is used, and to keep the site safe and working. We don’t sell your personal information.

3. Cookies & local storage

We use your browser’s storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences (like dismissed tips), and hold the referral source described above. These are functional, not advertising trackers.

4. Who we share it with

We don’t sell your data. We rely on a small set of service providers who process it on our behalf to run BBN:

• Supabase — database, accounts, and authentication.
• Vercel — site hosting.
• Resend — sending email.
• fal.ai — generating album art.
• Anthropic — generating text when the game helps draft band details.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

5. Your choices & rights

You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in any of them. You can ask us to access or delete your personal data — including your account — by emailing support@bestbandnever.com. Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR or CCPA), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or to object to certain processing; we honor these requests.

6. Retention & children

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to run the service, then delete or anonymize it. BBN isn’t intended for anyone under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
